Beginner and novice skiers enjoy our gentle learning slopes, while more advanced skiers navigate the traditional trails; all with beautiful scenery. Experts head for the summit where views of Mount Washington are as thrilling as the chute down Upper Maple Slalom. Black’s southern exposure means sunny and warm conditions on even the coldest New Hampshire days.
Friendly people are at the heart of Black Mountain, and we are proud to offer our guests 81 years of rich skiing history. As a family owned and operated resort, family has remained our focus. Our ski school is among the best in the business and as children build their confidence on the slopes, mom and dad can enjoy time of their own, knowing their little ones are well supervised and cared for. While visiting Black, take a moment to stop in and meet our ski school staff. There’s no better time than the present to improve your skills. Just as you tune-up your skis, you should tune-up your technique, no matter how accomplished a skier or rider you become.
The Black Mountain Rental Shop is fully equipped with quality, well maintained and affordable equipment, and our Retail Shop offers everything from helmets and goggles to lip balm and art work.
The fun never ends with special events and activities throughout the season. The Lostbo Pub is the premier place to watch the slopes while you kick back at Black. Delicious food, inviting lodge, great music and drinks help finish off a perfect day on the slopes. For more information check out our calendar of events page.
Black Mountain is part of a special magic that begins the moment you pass through the red covered bridge and enter the picture-perfect New England village of Jackson. Our charming little town is home to historic inns, cozy restaurants, great local music and unique shops.
