Today’s Wrap-Up January 13th

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend here at Black Mountain—blue skies, soft snow, and no lift lines meant endless fun for everyone on the slopes. Our snowmaking and grooming teams have been busy pushing out massive whales of snow while we are closed Tuesday/Wednesday, and we’re aiming to open Valley View, Dipper, and Jackson Standard by Saturday. Keep an eye on our updates, because the mountain will be buzzing with new terrain and plenty of action all weekend long!

Speaking of the weekend, we’ve got a jam-packed lineup of events:

• Friday kicks off with our 2025 Mug Club Launch Party and the best Friday Night Lights yet, featuring live music from 2:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. plus FREE night skiing/riding on our rope tow under the lights.

• Saturday starts with a special chance to ride the J Bar—the oldest overhead cable lift in the country—open from noon to 4:00 p.m. Then, stick around for our Black Is Back Music Fest, showcasing three sets of live music. The night caps off with Just By Chance, fronted by a local valley legend and former US Pro Ski Tour member. We’re also debuting our 3 Pack Lift Ticket sales, and offering more FREE night skiing/riding on the rope tow.

• The fun keeps rolling on Sunday, with live music by the Majestic Loon Birds to round out an epic weekend on the mountain.
