Administrative/Guest Services

Description: Administrative duties include:

Manage and schedule Social Media Posts; Update website each morning, to include weather and trail conditions and other updates/changes as necessary; Submit daily snow reports every morning; Promptly open and respond to emails; Cheerfully answer and direct phone calls; Various other administrative tasks and customer service to include occasional fill in of other customer service positions as needed.
Requirements: Excellent customer service, ability to multitask, ability to direct guests of all aspects of ski area amenities, conditions and services, light cleaning duties.  Will train the right candidate.
Hours: Seasonal. Part or full time.

Ticket Services/Rentals

Description: Must be able to greet guests at the ticket window and adequately describe the day's conditions as well as sell the appropriate designated ticket (ie, adult, college, senior citizen). Must be able to maintain a cash drawer and receipts. An additional requirement is to be able to switch to work behind the rental desk and adequately fit customers to skis and snowboards (training upon hire). 

Requirements: Excellent customer service, patience and a genuine interest in helping the guest have the best experience possible.  Will train the right candidate, ability to switch tasks, and willingness to learn how to fit rental equipment. 

Hours: Seasonal. Part or full time, 8am to 4:30pm, weekends required.

Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Description: Responsible for teaching skiing and/or snowboarding to guests in group  as well as private lessons.

Requirements: A passion for skiing and/or snowboarding, ability to teach beginner adults and children, ability to work out doors in all weather, excellent customer service skills.  PSIA training a plus but will to train the right candidate(s).

Coaches for Black Sheep and Yearlings

Description:  Responsible for coaching all mountain and backcountry skiing in an adventure type program which includes skiing and skinning.

Requirements: Must possess a passion for skiing and be able to proficiently ski while navigating all types of New England conditions including groomed and ungroomed terrain in all weather conditions.

Hours: Seasonal. Friday evenings for Friday Night Lights, Saturdays 8:30am - 4:00pm, Sundays 8:30am -12:00pm. Questions? Reach out to Ray Gilmore, Ski School Director at ray@blackmt.com.

 

Ski Patrol

Description: Must be an experienced first responders or have training. Primary duties include monitoring mountain areas for injured, reckless and lost skiers/snowboarders and for hazards; providing first aid and other necessary assistance to skiers and snowboarders; enforcing company skiing safety regulations; and performing various trail maintenance tasks. 

Requirements: Advanced skiing/riding ability required. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of wilderness first responder, OEC, or EMT-B certifications, or National Ski Patrol certification. In addition, it is desirable for candidate to be able to work in changing and extreme weather conditions.

Hours: Seasonal.  Part or full time.

 

Lift Attendants

Description: Safely operate a variety of surface and chair lifts, and assist guests with loading and unloading.

Requirements: Ability to be on your feet for 8+ hours as well as lift 50lbs in a physically demanding environment.  Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.  Ability to interact in a positive nature to our guests, as well as be able to inform them of current skiing conditions and resort amenities.  Ability to ski/snowboard a plus; will train the right candidate.

Hours: Seasonal. Part or full time. 8am to 4:30pm.  Weekends required.

Snowmakers

Description: Assist in the operation of efficiently making snow.

Requirements: Ability to work long shifts in a physically demanding environment, and frequently lift more than 50lbs. Willingness to work as a team outside at night in all weather conditions. Experience operating snow machines a plus.

Hours: Seasonal Part Time. Nights and weekends. Must have flexible schedule!

 

Mechanic

Description: Assist in the daily maintenance and repair of various machinery at the ski area including but not limited to, the grooming fleet, chair and surface lifts, snowmachines and other mountain vehicles.

Requirements: Ability to perform detail oriented work in a variety of conditions indoors and outdoors. Previous experience with diesel, small engines, or aerial lifts preferred, but will train someone willing to learn new things everyday.

Hours: Seasonal. Part or full time. Flexible hours,

Rental Shop Tech
Description: Assisting customers in rental equipment. 
Requirements: Excellent customer service skills, ability to be on your feet for 6+ hours, able to follow instructions.  Will train the right candidates.
Hours: Seasonal. Part time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am – 4:30 pm

Pub Servers
Description: Providing excellent customer service and serving food and beverages to guests in a Family-Friendly ski pub environment.
Requirements: Ability to multitask and be on your feet for 4+ hours, excellent guest service and communication skills, ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment.  Previous experience a plus; will train the right candidates.
Hours: Seasonal. Part Time. Saturday & Sunday 10:30 am – 4:00 pm. Extra shifts available during Christmas and February Vacation weeks!

 

Bartender
Description: Serving Alcohol and food in our busy Pub.
Requirements: Knowledge of drink making and beer types, excellent customer service, ability to be on your feet for 6+ hours, ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment.  Experienced preferred, will train the right candidate.
Hours: Seasonal. Part Time. Saturday & Sunday 10:30 am – 7:00 pm.  Extra shifts available during Christmas and February Vacation weeks!


Line Cook
Description: Preparing and serving cafeteria and pub style food to ski area guests.
Requirements: Ability to multitask and be on your feet for 6+ hours, detail oriented, excellent customer service and work well with other staff members.  Experience preferred, will train the right candidate.
Hours: Seasonal. Part or full time, 8am to 4:00pm. Weekends required.
