About Black Mountain

Founded in 1935, Black Mountain in Jackson, New Hampshire, is the oldest continuously operating ski area in the state. The mountain is known for its independent spirit, classic New England terrain, and deep connection to the Mount Washington Valley community. Black Mountain remains committed to affordable skiing and preserving the culture of independent ski areas.​

Black Mountain is a David surrounded by Goliaths. It's the only remaining independently-owned ski area in the Mt. Washington Valley, and the last of its kind to provide affordable and accessible skiing to the local community. This mountain is too crucial and too important for the community to lose. We're taking a stand to save it, and ensure it continues to offer affordable and accessible skiing for generations of families to come.
