Dear Black Mountain Family,
The snow’s holding strong, and we’re not slowing down. With a packed schedule of DJ parties, live music, and big celebrations, we’re aiming to ski straight into May. Can we make it? Only one way to find out for sure—come be a part of it. We want you with us every step, and turn, of the way. A limited quantity of 2025/2026 season passes are on sale now, and when you buy early, you’ll ski or ride for free the rest of this season—including access to every unforgettable spring events below.

Live music kicks off at the Alpine Cabin from 4–7 PM, then get ready to hit the dance floor as Motor Booty Affair brings their legendary 70s disco energy to the new main stage at base lodge from 6–9 PM. Bell bottoms, sequins, and platform shoes are highly encouraged—this is one funky spring celebration you don’t want to miss.
Saturday, April 19 – Season Passholder Party + DJ Party
DJ Trial By Sound returns to the Alpine Cabin from 1–7 PM, joined by a live saxophone for an unforgettable afternoon set, while live music keeps the base lodge rocking from 11 AM to 8 PM. As part of our passholder appreciation, we’re celebrating with a full day of skiing, music from top to bottom, and a free lunch for both this year’s and next year’s season passholders. That's right, including next year's passholders. Welcome to the family. Lifts run from 10 to 7.
Sunday, April 20 – Easter on the Mountain
Join us for an Easter service at 1 PM at the Alpine Cabin, led by Pastor Gail Pomeroy Doktor of the Jackson Community Church, followed by a surprise Champagne toast. Kids can enjoy two Easter egg hunts—one on the slopes and one at the base—plus live music all day & spring skiing from 10 to 7 PM. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Easter surrounded by family, friends, and mountain views. Foot traffic lift rides are free on the Triple chair to access the Alpine cabin.

Saturday, April 26 – 80's DJ Party + Base Lodge Afterparty
The Alpine Cabin is calling—another Saturday full of sunshine, beats, & bubbly from 1–7 PM. As the sun dips low, the base-area party continues with a Grateful Dead cover band from 5–8 PM—spinning classics, channeling Shakedown vibes, & keeping the long, strange trip alive at Black. Bring your best 80's outfit and party like it is 1987.
$49 Hotel Rooms at Whitneys Farm Inn
Our friends at The Inn at Whitney’s Farm are offering $49 ski-in, ski-out rooms all April long. It’s the perfect excuse to spend the weekend enjoying the snow, sunshine, and nonstop events on the mountain.
Saturday, May 3 – 90th Birthday Bash & Fireworks
Join us for the biggest party in Black Mountain history as we celebrate 90 years of skiing, community, and unforgettable memories. We’re closing out the season with a final DJ Party at the Alpine Cabin, a full day of live music at the base, mouthwatering food and drink specials, and giveaways that’ll keep the stoke high. As the sun sets, get ready for a grand finale you won’t forget—an unreal fireworks show lighting up the mountain sky. Fiercely independent for 90 years, Black Mountain has always done things a little differently—and we’re damn proud of it.
We’re not coasting to the finish—we’re making snow, throwing rowdy parties, and setting our sights on being the last open ski area in the State. Can this little mountain make it to May 3rd?
I would bet on Black.
Thanks for being here.
