I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we worked through what the season passes would like for next season at Black Mountain. The remarkable growth this mountain has seen required a fresh look at the pricing, product lineup, and availability.
We charge into the 26-27 season with three main downhill pass offerings labeled Silver, Gold, and Black. We will continue to offer a separate uphill pass, complemented by new early and late-season downhill pass offerings. All will be subject to capacity limits. Our current passholders will have a week to purchase with priority. This group will bypass the waitlist this season and every season going forward. On Thursday, April 2nd, we will open passes to people signed up on the waitlist, in priority order. If there is any remaining capacity, we will open pass sales to the public on Thursday, April 9th. The waitlist is deep. Getting on that list ASAP is your pathway to securing a season pass at Black Mountain. Season Passes will fully sell out.
Our flagship Black Pass is all in. Zero Blackouts, 10% off F&B, Mug Club membership, transferable uphill rentals & cat rides, 2 discounted lift tickets for friends, and, by constant request, unlimited and direct access to each and every Friday Night Lights.
The Gold Pass gets you access every day of the season, outside of our absolute busiest days, a discounted lift ticket for a friend, and 5% off F&B.
The Silver Pass provides midweek skiing and riding all season long for less than two-day tickets.
Uphill remains a key part of our sport and culture at Black Mountain. We will continue to offer a child and adult uphill pass, and will bring back early morning and outside operating hours access.
We will launch both an early-season and late-season pass. The Early-Season Pass (starting at just $129 for an adult) gets you access every day from opening day through Christmas Day. Our Late-Season Pass kicks in on April 1st each season and unlocks a lengthy and legendary spring season. Starting at just $179, this might just be the best deal in skiing. Both options are great extensions to your “other mountain” season pass. We will strive to open in November, ski into May, and have the longest ski season in New Hampshire.
There is a significant discount on all products for our returning passholders, which will continue year over year. Thank you for your continued support of this little mountain that could. Our waitlist members also enjoy a discount over general public pricing. We have worked very hard to keep skiing affordable. Most pass options cost less than 23/24 season pass prices, and I believe the improvements since that time speak for themselves. Our no-bank, zero-interest payment plan is available on ALL pass types. We are doing everything we can to keep skiing and riding affordable and manageable by breaking up your purchase over time.
Meanwhile we're nowhere near done with this season. This weekend’s weather is sunny with a return to midwinter temperatures and conditions. We will be lighting up the snowmaking system and hammering the mountain with everything that we have for at least 72 hours straight. The Black Mountain Glacier will grow substantially. Friday Night Lights will again have a new route up and down. We have opened two more time slots for cat rides as every other available seat was booked out. Expect live music all weekend, including the Pub Pirates on Friday night and Shark Martin on Saturday night. At 2pm on Saturday I am battling the sound of the snow guns from the DJ stand at the Alpine Cabin. Winter is nowhere near over and Black Mountain is the place to be this weekend.
Finally, in my first season here, we opened up free season passes to all students at the Jackson Grammar School. This past season, we expanded that to all students K-8 in SAU 9. Hundreds of passes have cumulated to thousands of free ski days for these kids. After lots of number crunching we have come to the conclusion that we left a significant amount of revenue on the table with this program. While Black Mountain is a treasured destination for the entire New England Ski Community, it is also an important local asset. That asset must remain accessible, and we will again demand that all local kids have access to outdoor recreation. Black Mountain will continue to provide unlimited season passes to all local kids K-8.
Thanks for being here.
